Giving back is in our roots.

What began around one family table has grown into a grassroots movement serving communities across Southern California.

We remain personal and hands-on, bringing nourishing food and meaningful support to people facing difficult times.

Meet our team

Luis Garcia Jr.

Founder

As the son of hardworking immigrants, the values of “giving back” and community were deeply instilled in me. My parents worked long hours and donated as much time as they could to our local church and community activities. Their commitment to these core values inspired me from a very young age. Six years ago, I founded a grassroots organization with a group of dedicated friends to help feed the less fortunate and hungry in my community. It started off small and soon grew to over 300 people per event, all managed right out of my home, where we cooked, plated, and distributed the food. As my organization grew, I was able to establish “L. Garcia Helping Hands,” a wonderful nonprofit dedicated to feeding those in need within our community and expanding to other communities in multiple cities across Southern California. “A helping hand is always a step into the future.” Blessings Always, Luis Garcia, Founder.

Operations

I have always had a passion to give back, joining this nonprofit and running its operations is a dream job for me. I am extremely blessed to have a great family and wonderful wife, three beautiful children, and one grandchild that supports me. This new venture is a sample to always give back.

As a single mother of two wonderful boys, I have always had a heart to give back and to help my community. In the past I was honored to have helped feed the less fortunate on Thanksgiving, and now being able to give back year-round is a blessing. Looking forward to helping this nonprofit.

Giving back is a blessing in itself. Growing up, I was fortunate to learn compassion for others, regardless of the circumstances. Now, I channel that passion into supporting L. Garcia Helping Hands and Helping Heroes, deepening my commitment to community service. I focus on ensuring that those in need have access to food and essential resources. My goal is to help build a stronger community where everyone has the support they deserve to thrive in all areas of life.
